I was looking through my list of blogs I follow and I clicked on this blog http://www.bargainbabe.com/ for my daily dose of info I stumbled upon her list of things to find at garage sale/yard sales and she had a link to this site
http://www.yardsaletreasuremap.com/ so wonderful ! so easy to use. I would suggest this way of mapping or use the tip in my previous post.
#4 Make sure you have cash and gas ! I always make sure I get gas the night before I go treasure hunting. I also check for cash and makesure I keep small bills and change. You don't want to stop for gas when you are on a treasure mission.
#5 When you go to the sales make sure to say hi and be friendly. Test the water, see if the sellers are friendly or not. By doing this, it helps to know if you can haggle over price. Also keep your ears open and see if the sellers are being receptive to offers.
#6 Making an offer : If you find something for let's say 5.00 offer 3.00, or if its 10.00 ask if they will take 8.00 or 7.00 what ever you are comfortable with. If they say no then decide if you want it, I usually do,so I pay what they want. Sometimes if they have alot of something, then you can ask for a group rate, let's say you have a pile of kids clothes ask if they will take 10.00 bucks instead of 15.00, just use your instincts. Don't be afraid to ask, just go for it, it will make you feel good. haha!
I will try to keep giving more tips this week and next week !
